This is a good example of what can be achieved with proper planning and layout from a expert tile & marble craftsman. This double niche shampoo shelf was built and waterproofed prior to installing tile. The opening was built so that the shampoo niche would be in place of one full tile on the wall instead of cutting into the wall field tile. This creates smooth clean lines that is more pleasing to your eye. The mosaic glass tile in the back of the shampoo niche was also laid out for full tile. The quartz shelf in the center is pitched and mounted into the wall. Everything is then grouted using epoxy grout for longevity, color consistency, and stain resistance.
